Sat 9-12 thru Sun 9-13 Redding Waterworks Park
Arrive Saturday afternoon, ride the slides. Drop off a four story cliff or spin around a giant 40 foot bowl then get shot into a rushing waterfall or relax and enjoy floating around a lazy lagoon. Young ones will enjoy sliding down a mole hole and popping out into a cool, shallow pool.
Saturday night, after the slides close, party down with our DJ. and then sleep in the water park under the glittering stars. When the sun comes up enjoy breakfast and get ready to get wet all over again.
The water park is closed to the general public and is available only to registered girl scouts attending this event.
Park opens at 5:00pm on Saturday and closes at 3:30pm on Sunday. Breakfast and lunch are included.
Cost $33 per person.
Juliette Low Birthday Bash

In 1912 Juliette Low founded the Girl Scout moment in the United States. Known affectionately by the nickname Daisy she was a amazing woman who continues to this day to have a positive impact on girls lives.
It is a redwood tradition to celebrate her birthday, which actually falls on Halloween. The details of this years event are still being worked out and will be announced shortly.

Back by popular demand. Taking care of yourself is a skill! This Spa event teaches girls how to pamper themselves, care for their skin, and enjoy new things. While your Girl Scout is enjoying the spa treatment, you can pamper yourself with a movie or do some holiday shopping. Price includes: dinner, all activities and a patch.

Sept 26 & 27 Mad River Hospital Field, Arcata
This is your opportunity to earn the new outdoor Archery Badge. Open to fifth grade Juniors and above. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced sessions are available.
Beginner sessions are designed for girls who have either never participated in archery or who have had very minimal instruction. Girls will learn the fundamentals of range safety, proper stance and basic shooting skills. )
Intermediate sessions are for girls who have a grasp of the fundamentals but need practice and coaching to begin to achieve groupings. This session will concentrate on improving body stance, consistency in anchoring, proper release technique.
Advances sessions are for girls with developed shooting skills who want to improve their technique and consistency in arrow placement. You will practice shooting drills, look at arrow patterns, improve your anchor, understand aiming offset and of course get plenty of shooting time.
These archery clinics can also be used as part of the Breathe Cadette Journey. Too earn the badge girls must attend two sessions.

Holiday Craft Fair

Dows Prairie Grange, McKinleyville
Girl Scouts will make 8 take-away projects that will make nice family gifts and decorations. They will also participate in a service project making holiday cards for local Seniors.
Cost also includes a snack and participation patch. While we have a great many program aides, troop leaders will need to have a proper ratio of volunteers to help their younger girls as needed.
